Staying In.

Today you would like to stay at home. Just you and your sweet, safe personal space. But...A parent rings! A neighbour knocks! An oven alights! This is a game about staying in. Over the course of an evening you will face challenges to this wish. You must work to resolve them or face the pains of...SOCIAL ANXIETY!

Staying In is an RPG about not going out. 

• Create a character who just wants to stay in.
• Build them a perfect (or horrific) home to hide away in.
• Face off angry neighbours, clingy lovers, big red letters from the council or even the ghost of a Victorian child, in a series of challenges set by the GM.

Survive three challenges and you succeed in staying in for the night. Collect three anxiety points and you fail in your isolation.

Feel the stress of social anxiety as each roll of the dice brings you closer and closer to failure with a new rising Check Level system.

Staying in can be played with 1-6 players. Each player count brings a whole different playstyle to the game:

• Play with just 1 character and feel the fear rise alone.
• Play with 2 characters and test the strength of a lonely couple. 
• Play with 3+ and explore the power of whole streets/apartment buildings/villages with each character desperately trying to stay alone by working together without crossing the threshold of their own front door. 

Staying in is played with three d6 and pen and paper. Below you can find a Playsheet to help you note down your house and character. 

There are two copies of the game available:

• Zine Rulebook ($4.00)- This is a playfully twisted zine style rulebook (12 pages) taking on the style of an Ikea catalogue (circa 2000) found in the depths of your childhood anxiety dreams. Printable and thematic this is a great choice for GMs, solo players, and couples who can share.
• One-Page - This is a simple rule presentation with less of the theme. Great for when you are playing with groups and need to pass lots of copies around or for those that like a clearer read.
